Spoons Kitchen Exchange is helping to launch Repair Café PGH

Spoons Kitchen Exchange is proud to be a founding partner of Repair Café PGH, the local chapter of the global Repair Café Foundation. This monthly event series aims to launch in Fall 2024. It's a community space where people can "bring along their broken items from home. Toasters, lamps, hair dryers, clothes, bikes, toys, crockery... anything that is broken is welcome—and can more than likely be repaired." Repair Café PGH is free to attend and volunteer-run.

We're helping to organize this Pittsburgh event series because there's been longtime interest for someone to start it in our city. But we need your help to make it happen!

Read the full press release on their website to learn why we're starting a repair café, and how you can get involved.

You can also visit us at the Wilkinsburg Farmers Market to talk more about Repair Café PGH in-person.
