When we first sent out the request for zucchini recipes in the summer of 1993, no one could have predicted the enormous response from our viewers. Nor would anyone guess that eight years later we would have produced more than 40 cooking marathons featuring the incredible cooking talents of our viewers. Each time we put out the call, viewers responded deliciously with their favorite recipes for cookies, desserts, ethnic foods, gifts, casseroles, chicken, pasta, salad, pies, appetizers, berries, tomatoes, potatoes, and on and on. We have received thousands of recipes from hundreds of loyal viewers.

Public television stations in other cities have

tried to duplicate our formula, and many of 

them have been successful. But nowhere else do they have such loyal and generous viewers.

The incredible response to these simple programs has made it possible for us to provide a weekly

program to showcase local cooking talent and for us to continue generating more and more new

cooking marathons.

Let me take this opportunity to thank all of you who have made "QED Cooks" possible through

sending in your recipes, watching the programs, and supporting them with your membership.
